Berkshire Hathaway Finances $3 Billion in Burger King, Tim Hortons Merger

Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP is representing Berkshire Hathaway in a $3 billion commitment to finance the proposed merger between Burger King Worldwide Inc. and Tim Hortons Inc. announced Aug. 26, 2014.

The merger will create the world’s third largest quick service restaurant company, with approximately $23 billion in system sales, more than 18,000 restaurants in 100 countries and two well-known brands. The new company will be based in Canada.
