Bryan Heckenlively to Speak at UC Defense Trial Academy’s Inaugural Symposium  

Munger, Tolles & Olson Partner Bryan Heckenlively will speak at the UC Defense Trial Academy: Inaugural Symposium at UC Berkeley on October 26. Titled “Beyond the Verdict: Lessons Learned in the Courtroom,” Bryan’s panel will feature candid stories and practical insights from jury trials, examining how successes, surprises, miscalculations and pivotal moments have shaped approaches to trial advocacy. 

The session will explore witness preparation and examination, presenting complex issues, courtroom strategy, credibility, adapting to unexpected developments and recognizing what resonates with jurors. The discussion will also highlight how those lessons inform the way attorneys prepare for and try cases today.
