
Jeremy Kreisberg is of counsel in the Washington, D.C., office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.
Jeremy’s practice focuses on appeals and complex litigation.
Before rejoining the firm, Jeremy served as special assistant to the president and senior associate counsel in the White House Counsel’s Office. There, he provided legal advice to domestic policymakers on the implementation of the president’s policy agenda with respect to healthcare and immigration, liaised with the Department of Justice on civil litigation challenging administration priorities and provided counsel on legal challenges concerning the administration’s engagements with social media companies. He also served as a senior advisor to the general counsel for the U.S. Department of the Treasury on significant litigation matters and tax law.
Earlier in his career, as an MTO associate, Jeremy represented trade associations, communications companies, a law firm and the University of California in high-stakes litigation matters. He also maintained a broad pro bono practice in immigration issues, prisoners’ rights and defending access to healthcare.
Jeremy clerked for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan and Judge Stephen Reinhardt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Between his clerkships, Jeremy served as a special assistant to the general counsel at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He also worked as an associate at a litigation boutique, where he represented clients in healthcare-related appellate matters.
Jeremy earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, magna cum laude, and served as notes editor of the Harvard Law Review. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in political science.
