Sidney M. Eisner

Sidney Eisner is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson whose practice focuses primarily on complex civil litigation.

Sidney has represented clients in a wide range of industries including financial services, insurance and technology, as well as governmental entities. Her experience includes litigation on claims for breach of contract, California Invasion of Privacy Act violations, and professional liability matters. She has also represented the City of Los Angeles in False Claims Act lawsuit alleging violations of federal accessibility requirements in affordable housing.

Sidney also maintains an active pro bono practice and is part of a team challenging California Department of Corrections immigration enforcement policies that refer hundreds of people in custody every year to Immigration and Customs Enforcement—even if they are U.S. citizens—based on their race, ethnicity, national origin and other protected characteristics.

Prior to joining the firm, Sidney was a litigator at one of the nation’s top law firms in, New York. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable William F. Kuntz, II, of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York; a judicial intern to the Honorable John G. Koeltl of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York; and a legal intern to the United States Attorney’s Office: Civil Division.

Sidney earned her J.D., cum laude, from New York University School of Law. While in law school, she served as managing editor of the Annual Survey of American Law and was named a Florence Allen Scholar for ranking in the top ten percent of her class.

Before attending law school, Sidney earned her B.A., cum laude, in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Michigan, where she was named a James B. Angell Scholar for her academic achievements.
