Sara Worth is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson whose practice focuses on complex litigation, with an emphasis on trial practice.

She has a particular interest in the First Amendment, media law, and intellectual property.

Sara began her legal career as a summer associate at MTO and spent two years at the firm before departing for a clerkship on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Prior to rejoining MTO, Sara served as an election safeguarding attorney for the ACLU Voting Rights Project during the 2024 election cycle.

Sara maintains an active pro bono practice focused on civil rights and civil liberties. She currently represents the plaintiffs and putative class in Pedro Vasquez Perdomo v. Noem, a case challenging federal immigration agents’ practice of detaining Southern Californians without particularized suspicion of wrongdoing, in violation of the Fourth Amendment. Sara represents the plaintiffs in federal district court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

While at Yale, Sara served as chief speechwriter to Dean Heather Gerken and participated in the San Francisco Affirmative Litigation Project and Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic. She also served as a legal intern in the General Counsel’s Office of National Public Radio.

Before attending law school, Sara was a content and messaging strategist at a creative agency focused on social impact campaigns. She was born and raised in Los Angeles.

FIGS, Inc., and its co-founders in obtaining a full and complete defense verdict for the medical apparel company against $100 million claims for false advertising, intentional interference with prospective economic relations and unfair competition brought by industry incumbent Careismatic Brands (formerly Strategic Partners, Inc.).

DoubleLine Capital and its CEO, Jeffrey Gundlach, in achieving a complete defense award in arbitration brought by former partners seeking hundreds of millions of dollars, as well as victory on counter-claims that significantly reduced the value of the partners’ outstanding equity after a two-phase, multi-week hearing.

The Estate of Etsuko Toguri in obtaining a $30 million judgment in an arbitration arising from a real estate fraud scheme.
