Overview
Nena Benavides is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.
Prior to joining the firm, Nena clerked for Judge Michelle T. Friedland of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for Judges Matthew F. Kennelly and Gary Feinerman of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She was also an associate at a trial boutique, where she worked on complex civil litigation matters.
Nena earned her J.D. with highest honors from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif, served as comments editor of the Legal Forum and received the Pro Bono Service Initiative Award. During law school, she also participated in the Housing Initiative Transactional Clinic and served as a research assistant to Professor Bridget Fahey.
