FASPE’s 2025 Dinner and Awards for Ethical Leadership
November 18, 2025
Munger, Tolles & Olson was recognized by the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE) at the organization’s 2025 Dinner and Awards for Ethical Leadership, which was held on November 17 in New York City.
MTO and eight other law firms were recognized for upholding a “fundamental principle of the rule of law: that clients have the right to counsel of their choice, that lawyers have the right to select clients that they will represent, and that lawyers will represent their clients without artificial restrictions within the bounds of ethical behavior.”
In 2025, that principle was challenged when executive orders sought to place barriers on American law firms. MTO and Eimer Stahl LLP, on behalf of hundreds of law firms from across the country, filed three amicus briefs in support of lawsuits challenging these executive orders. MTO also obtained a permanent injunction on behalf of Susman Godfrey against the Executive Order targeting the firm.
MTO stands firm in its commitment to the rule of law and the integrity of the justice system.
