November 19, 2025
Munger, Tolles & Olson is pleased to announce that veteran trial lawyer Andrew Radsch has joined the firm as a partner in its San Francisco office. Andrew has nearly two decades of experience in high-stakes intellectual property litigation, with a focus on patents and trade secrets.
“Andrew is an exceptional lawyer whose experience navigating complex intellectual property disputes is second to none,” said Firm Chair Brad Brian. “He strengthens our already distinguished bench of litigators, adding a caliber of trial experience that expands what we can offer clients confronting the most challenging IP disputes.”
Andrew specializes in complex patent and trade secret disputes in federal courts across the country, at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and at the International Trade Commission. He regularly advises plaintiffs and defendants on litigation matters across a range of industries and technologies, including network security, wireless communications, cloud computing, streaming media and semiconductors.
“MTO has some of the best lawyers across the country handling matters at the forefront of IP law,” said Andrew. “The firm’s commitment to protecting innovation and guiding clients in safeguarding their most valuable assets is unmatched. I look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues in San Francisco – and across the firm’s offices – to advance these efforts.”
Andrew has served as lead counsel to numerous companies in high-stakes litigation. Notable cases include defending Palo Alto Networks in a 13-patent infringement suit; representing Yangtze Memory in a 22-patent competitor suit; serving as trial counsel for AstraZeneca in a 19-day bench trial involving a pediatric asthma drug and patents concerning methods of treatment and sterilized compositions; and defending an internet technology company against allegations that its video sharing app infringes nine patents. He also maintains an active pro bono practice, frequently representing victims of domestic violence in obtaining restraining orders, child custody and financial support orders, as well as for refugees seeking asylum.
“Andrew’s arrival strengthens our on-the-ground capabilities in one of the world’s leading technology hubs and reinforces our commitment to providing clients with the best legal counsel available,” said Greg Stone, a partner in the firm’s patent practice. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to our team.”
Andrew was previously a partner in the intellectual property litigation group at Ropes & Gray, and recently served as vice chair of the Mock Argument Committee for the Federal Circuit Bar Association. He earned his J.D. at Columbia Law School and was an extern for the Honorable Deborah A. Batts at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
