Rose Ehler Named a 2025 Woman Leader in Tech Law in The Recorder’s 2025 California Legal Awards

Munger, Tolles & Olson Partner Rose Ehler was recognized as one of the Women Leaders in Tech Law, Intellectual Property as part of the 2025 California Legal Awards. As an honoree, Rose was profiled. Read the full Q&A.

Rose highlighted her pride in arguing a Second Circuit copyright appeal for RIAA, defending the excellent result achieved for the client in the district court.

Asked “What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a woman starting out in tech law?,” Rose emphasized that attorneys need to evolve just like technology does: “Technology is, by definition changing rapidly. Litigators need to be willing to learn new things and keep learning as their clients and cases evolve.”

She also credited MTO’s on-site childcare center, Hope Street Friends, as crucial to her ability to invest in her own career, saying “Reliable, high-quality childcare makes being a mother and a lawyer doable.”
