Max Rosen Speaks On Wildfire Legislation at Western LAMPAC’s Spring 2025 Conference
This April, Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney J. Max Rosen was invited to give a speech on wildfire legislation at the Western LAMPAC (Labor & Management Public Affairs Committee) Conference in San Diego. Western LAMPAC is an association of electric utilities and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) with members spanning regional IBEW officials, business managers, various union officials and executive management employees of the participating electric utilities. The conference serves as a forum to inform and educate members on public affairs matters and promote positive labor and management relations.
Max has represented numerous utilities across the Western United States in drafting legislation to address the existential challenge of unlimited wildfire liability. Recently, Max served on the MTO team representing Hawaiian Electric Industries and Hawaiian Electric Company, which secured a historic settlement resolving litigation related to the devastating 2023 Maui wildfires.
