Bradley Schneider Serves as Panelist at Practising Law Institute Program on Accounting for Lawyers

Munger, Tolles & Olson Of Counsel Bradley Schneider will be a speaker in an upcoming program for Practising Law Institute (PLI), titled “Basics of Accounting for Lawyers 2025.”

The two-day program will be held July 22-23—both virtually and in person at PLI California in San Francisco—and is designed to teach lawyers common accounting concepts and principles that frequently arise in legal work. By convening a diverse group of panelists from the legal and accounting industries, attendees will gain a thorough overview of the audit process, including insight into best practices for engaging with external and in-house counsel; examine legal ethics issues that arise when working with financial matters; and analyze the rules of ethics guiding attorneys and compare them to those guiding accounting professionals.

Bradley’s panel, titled “Anatomy of the Balance Sheet,” will address the elements of a balance sheet: assets, liabilities, and stockholder’s equity, and will discuss the significance of each. After completing this session, participants will know what to look for when reading a balance sheet; better understand current assets, such as cash, receivables, inventories, investments in debt and equity securities and fixed and other long-term assets, including intellectual property and good will; and gain insight into current liabilities, leases, long-term debt, pension and other post-retirement benefits and the common components of stockholders’ equity.

Register to attend.
