Munger, Tolles & Olson Partners Stuart Senator and Kyle Mach Recognized as 2023 Top Antitrust Lawyers by the Daily Journal
Munger, Tolles & Olson partners Stuart Senator and Kyle Mach were recognized by the Daily Journal as 2023 Top Antitrust Lawyers for their exceptional legal work in high-profile and landmark antitrust cases.
The Daily Journal recognized Mr. Senator as a top antitrust lawyer for his work in several significant cases, including his defenses of research-based pharmaceutical companies in cases seeking massive damages for alleged delay in competition between brand name and generic drugs. As a top practitioner in his field, Mr. Senator is also known for his excellent antitrust counseling and compliance advice on numerous subjects, including distribution practices, pricing, trade association activity and mergers. Mr. Senator was also recognized for his commitment to public service—he has served as a trustee or director of the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Foundation, the California Parks Foundation and Menorah Housing Foundation. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and executive committee of Public Counsel, the largest provider of pro bono legal services in the area.
The Daily Journal also recognized Mr. Mach as a top antitrust lawyer for his recent work in several significant cases, including a precedent-setting antitrust case where he obtained a first-of-its kind ruling that allowed a private party to successfully compel a divestiture of a completed transaction. “The case demonstrates that there remain plenty of new frontiers in antitrust law even after decades of development,” he said. Mr. Mach has extensive experience litigating antitrust cases, including many high-profile matters and jury trials throughout the United States. He is often called upon for antitrust counseling and advice concerning regulatory inquiries, business transactions and other issues.
