Munger, Tolles & Olson Firm Chair Brad Brian Set As Panelist for 2023 Edison Electric Institute Fall Legal Conference

Munger, Tolles & Olson Firm Chair Brad Brian will speak at the 2023 Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Fall Legal Conference, which will be hosted this week from October 11-13 in Charleston, South Carolina. 

The EEI Legal Conference is a bi-annual meeting designed to facilitate the exchange of information on the latest developments in electric utility law and regulation, legislation and corporate legal matters.

Mr. Brian will serve as a panelist during the presentation titled, “Wildfires: Civil and Criminal Risks and Outcomes,” which will dive into how companies can manage mass tort litigation as wildfire risks and disasters increase across the United States. Topics to discuss will include: investigating cause and origin; managing hundreds of lawsuits and class actions; developing trial themes; using dispute resolution processes to settle cases; and handling criminal investigations. Adam Umanoff of Edison International will serve as the moderator and Doug Dixon of Hueston Hennigan will also serve as a panelist.
