Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Malcolm A. Heinicke was recognized by the Daily Journal among the 2017 Top Labor and Employment Lawyers in California in a report published on July 19, 2017.
Mr. Heinicke was recognized for handling his clients’ “most challenging employment litigation matters,” and in particular, for leading a Munger Tolles team that defeated a potential class action challenging two aspects of client Wells Fargo Bank’s compensation policy for California-based home mortgage consultants.
The Daily Journal also highlighted the work of Mr. Heinicke and Munger Tolles in the ongoing defense of Wells Fargo in a class action involving the classification of business payroll specialist sales representatives as exempt employees. The newspaper noted that Munger Tolles has already earned a dismissal of the plaintiffs’ Fair Labor Standards Act claims in that suit.
Based in San Francisco, Mr. Heinicke focuses his practice on employment and complex commercial litigation, particularly in class and collective actions and employee mobility matters. He has been selected as a Top Labor and Employment Lawyer in California by the Daily Journal every year since 2009.
