Four MTO Partners Recognized on the Daily Journal’s 2026 Top 100 and Distinguished Counsel Lists

Munger, Tolles & Olson is pleased to announce that four of the firm’s partners have been recognized by the Daily Journal. Name Partner Ronald Olson and Firm Chair Brad Brian have been honored as 2026 Distinguished Counsel, while Partners Henry Weissmann and Jonathan Blavin have been named to the 2026 Top 100 Lawyers list. The Distinguished Counsel designation recognizes attorneys who have appeared on the Top 100 list 15 or more times.
In his profile, Ron reflects on his distinguished career advising prominent companies, individuals and executives, as well as the long-term thinking and commitment to professional excellence that have shaped his practice and the firm’s culture.
Brad is recognized for handling complex matters spanning entertainment, cryptocurrency, catastrophic fires and major commercial disputes. His profile also highlights his client-focused approach to advocacy and commitment to mentoring the firm’s next generation of litigation leaders.
Henry is profiled for his regulatory and litigation work involving wildfire liability, utility regulation and legislative policy. His recent matters include representing Hawaiian Electric in litigation arising from the 2023 Maui wildfires and representing California utilities in proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission.
Jonathan is recognized for representing technology companies in high-stakes litigation involving generative AI and online platforms. His recent matters for Character.AI, Snap and OpenAI raise novel questions under product liability, negligence, the First Amendment and Section 230.
