Cordell Brown Recognized as a 2026 Most Promising Newcomer Finalist by The Recorder

Munger, Tolles & Olson Associate Cordell Brown has been named a finalist for Most Promising Newcomer by The Recorder as part of the 2026 California Legal Awards. The award recognizes early-career lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional potential, work ethic, and legal acumen.
Cordell is a litigation associate whose practice focuses on intellectual property and technology-related matters. Since joining the firm in October 2024, he has contributed to a range of high-stakes matters and has been recognized for his strong preparation, intellectual rigor and willingness to take on significant responsibility. He is also committed to the broader legal community through mentorship and community service.
Cordell’s early experience includes a pro bono bench trial in which he delivered the opening statement, conducted a key cross-examination and engaged the court on constitutional and statutory issues. He has also played a key role on teams handling complex product liability and public nuisance litigation, where he took the deposition of an expert witness.
The California Legal Awards celebrate lawyers and organizations driving innovation and excellence in the legal profession. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on June 24 in Los Angeles.
