Daniel Rubin (he/him/his) is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Rubin served as a law clerk to the Honorable Carlos T. Bea of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Rubin was also a judicial intern for the Honorable Kiyo A. Matsumoto of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He was a summer associate at two different law firms in San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

Mr. Rubin earned his J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he served as supervising editor of the California Law Review and executive editor of the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law. During his time at Berkeley, he received the Jurisprudence Award in seven courses and the Prosser Prize in two courses. He also graduated with an M.S. in public policy from New York University, Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and an MAcc and a B.B.A. in accounting with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Rubin worked in the nonprofit sector, at a global investment bank, and at a top accounting firm. He was a certified public accountant and earned the Charles Waldo Haskins Silver Award for receiving the second highest score on the CPA Exam in New York State.
