Cy Ray is a corporate associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.

Prior to joining MTO, Cy was an associate at an Am Law 200 firm in Silicon Valley. Cy has represented both public and private clients in a variety of U.S. and cross-border transactions, including multibillion-dollar M&A deals, carveouts, reorganizations, and corporate governance matters.

Cy earned his J.D. and M.B.A. from Yale University, where he was a special editor for the Yale Law School Journal of Law & Technology. He also worked for the Constitutional Court of South Korea conducting research on international law.

Before and during law school, Cy spent a number of years working in various capacities at startups and technology companies in California, often advising senior leadership and executive teams on business development and strategy matters.

Cy was also a Korean Government fellow at Seoul National University, where much of his research focused on North Korea and international security. Cy earned a B.A. in History with highest distinction from the University of Michigan.
