Charles Lam (he/him) is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lam served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mark C. Scarsi of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He was also an associate at an Am Law 200 multinational law firm in Los Angeles.

Mr. Lam earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University, Loyola Law School where he was executive editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review. During law school, Mr. Lam served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Philip S. Gutierrez of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and a legal extern in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California in the criminal and national security divisions. He also won the ABA Forum on Communication Law’s 14th Annual First Amendment and Media Law Diversity Moot Court.

Prior to law school, Mr. Lam worked as a journalist for NBC News. He earned his B.A. in French from the University of California, Irvine, and speaks conversational Vietnamese and French.
