Benjamin Welton (he/him) is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.
Prior to rejoining the firm, Mr. Welton was a summer associate at MTO where he worked on a range of cases involving copyright, patent, and antitrust litigation.
Mr. Welton earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he was notes editor for Stanford Law Review. During law school, he was one of the inaugural Civil Justice Fellows at Stanford’s Deborah L. Rhode Center. He also worked on trademark and copyright matters at the Juelsgaard Intellectual Property and Innovation Clinic and was a member of the Social Security Disabilities Project. Mr. Welton also interned at the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office in the felonies unit.
Mr. Welton earned his B.S. magna cum laude in computer science and electrical and computer engineering from Duke University. After graduating, Mr. Welton was a software engineer at Meta working on privacy infrastructure and policy enforcement.
