Andrew Nguyen

Andrew Nguyen (he/him/his) is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson who specializes in tackling clients’ most challenging problems.

Mr. Nguyen’s practice focuses on high-stakes civil litigation and intellectual property litigation, including patent and trade secret disputes.  Mr. Nguyen has successfully written and argued motions, managed discovery, and represented some of the largest technology companies, including Google, Intel, and Applied Materials.  Mr. Nguyen also maintains an active pro bono practice, particularly in the area of protecting and promoting LGBTQ rights.

Mr. Nguyen earned his J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and was Senior Supervising Editor of the California Law Review, Notes & Comments Editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal, and Articles Editor of the Asian American Law Journal. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nguyen served as a law clerk to the Honorable Pamela K. Chen of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the Honorable R. Guy Cole, Jr., of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Before attending law school, Mr. Nguyen worked as an economic consultant, providing economic analysis to expert witnesses in securities and mass tort litigation.

Mr. Nguyen graduated from Williams College, summa cum laude, with a B.A. in English and mathematics.
