Overview

Dr. Susannah M. L. Gagnon is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.

With a biochemistry background, Susannah focuses her practice on patent litigation in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and technology industries.

Prior to joining the firm, Susannah was an associate at two Am Law 200 firms in San Francisco providing legal guidance on patent litigation matters and intellectual property portfolio strategies. She completed a judicial internship for the Honorable Lee H. Rosenthal of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Susannah also worked as an independent contractor with Supreme Steel, a Canadian steel provider, assisting with arbitration matters and commercial contract review and risk assessment.

Susannah earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was a senior editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law. During her doctoral studies, she conducted biochemical research in multiple areas of human health, including the structure and function of the human ABO blood group enzymes as well as select antibodies. Susannah’s research has been published in high-impact journals, and she also has presented her findings at international and national conferences.
