Overview
Laura M. López litigates high-stakes civil matters for clients across a range of industries and regularly advises companies on their most challenging and consequential discovery matters.
Laura has extensive experience litigating in state and federal courts. She advises clients on the development of efficient, defensible e-discovery strategies and executes those strategies through her thoughtful and skilled management of case teams in highly complex cases. Her work spans all phases of litigation, including motion practice, depositions and the management of discovery and expert processes in large, multi-party and multi-forum matters.
In 2023, Laura completed a four-month secondment as a Public Interest Fellow with the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Central District of California, where she was a member of two trial teams that obtained full acquittals and represented clients at various stages of federal criminal proceedings.
Before attending law school, Laura managed the citizenship and immigration program for the International Rescue Committee in San Diego and served as an Expert-in-Mission for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Ecuador.
