Faye Paul Teller Background Pattern

Overview

Faye Paul Teller is a seasoned litigator who helps clients across a wide range of industries navigate high-stakes commercial disputes, government investigations, and complex litigation.

She brings deep experience in all phases of litigation — from pre-suit investigation through depositions, expert and document discovery, dispositive motions, trial, and appeal — and is known for translating technically complex subject matter into clear, persuasive narratives.

Faye has extensive experience preparing witnesses for deposition and trial testimony, including prominent business and education leaders — among them the President and Provost of a major university, CEOs of multibillion-dollar investment firms, and a product leader at a major technology company. Her approach to building trust and effective communication with witnesses was the subject of a Law360 article, “10 Tips To Build Trust With Your Witness During Trial Prep.”

Faye has also led sensitive investigations across institutional and corporate settings. She conducted a months-long investigation for UC Berkeley into allegations of discrimination and abusive conduct in the university’s women’s swimming and diving program, culminating in a publicly disclosed investigative report. She has also helped high profile technology and pharmaceutical companies respond to government investigations.

Faye regularly manages large-scale, complex litigation involving extensive depositions, expert witnesses, and written and document discovery. Her experience spans multidistrict litigation, coordinated proceedings, mass tort coordination, and bet-the-company disputes, including matters implicating billions of dollars in exposure. She has defended and prosecuted patent infringement claims on behalf of Google, Intel, HPE, and other leading technology companies, as well as pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.

Faye is especially known for her ability to coordinate effectively among multiple parties in complex multi-defendant litigation and to manage productive relationships with opposing counsel to the benefit of her clients. She resolves disputes efficiently, negotiating workable solutions that keep her cases moving — picking up the phone to get things done rather than generating unnecessary motion practice.

Faye’s practice spans technology, higher education, pharmaceuticals, automotive, financial services, medical devices, and investment firms. She has handled patent infringement, product liability, contract disputes, mass tort matters, and government investigations. This cross-industry and cross-discipline experience gives her a creative, pattern-recognition-driven approach to solving her clients’ most challenging problems.
