

Overview
Erica Tooch is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson whose practice focuses primarily on labor and employment litigation and counseling.
She has litigated numerous class and representative wage and hour matters as well as a variety of single-plaintiff wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation and harassment claims. She writes successful motions and managed all aspects of discovery.
In addition to her litigation work, Erica conducts internal investigations and counsels clients on all aspects of employment law, including compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, drafting employee handbooks and drafting and implementing company policies. She defends employers in a variety of industries, including the technology, manufacturing, nonprofit and financial sectors.
Erica also maintains a vibrant pro bono practice, advising nonprofit organizations on workplace policies and unemployment disputes.
Additionally, Erica is the co-chair of the firm’s Food From the Bar initiative. Food from the Bar is an annual six-week campaign in which law firms and legal offices engage in a friendly competition to raise funds, donate food and volunteer at local food banks.
Erica was previously an associate at a leading law firm, where she conducted research and drafted memoranda on various complex substantive and procedural matters.
At the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, she served as the senior submissions editor for the Southern California Law Review. While at USC, Erica externed for the Honorable Paul L. Abrams of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
