Overview
Carl Jiang is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson whose experience includes bankruptcy litigation, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigations and claims for breach of contract.
Carl also maintains an active pro bono practice and is part of a team challenging Los Angeles County and the State of California to provide transition-aged youth in foster care with essential housing and medical services. He has also helped represent individuals in seeking asylum, protection under the Convention Against Torture, special immigrant juvenile status and U visas.
At Yale Law School, Carl was a 2018 Paul & Daisy Soros New American Fellow, a co-founder for the Youth Justice Project and a co-chair for the Clinical Student Board. He was an executive editor and managing editor of the Yale Law & Policy Review.
Prior to joining MTO, Carl worked as an associate at a multinational law firm. Before law school, he taught English to 7th graders in Las Vegas as part of the Teach for America program.
