Overview

Abigail Shim is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.

Prior to joining the firm, Abigail served as a law clerk to Judge Daniel P. Collins of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She previously worked as an associate at a large international law firm, where she defended clients in antitrust and employment cases. She also maintained an active pro bono practice representing survivors of domestic violence. Her work on behalf of survivors includes securing a published decision by the California Court of Appeal establishing favorable precedent on a question of first impression.

Abigail graduated first in her class from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, where she earned prizes for the highest grade in thirteen courses and received the Thomas Trapp Award for outstanding performance in environmental law coursework. She also served as editor in chief of the UC Law Journal and externed for two federal judges: Judge Charles R. Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and Judge Kimberly J. Mueller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.
