Munger, Tolles & Olson was recognized at Managing IP’s 2026 Americas Awards, held on April 9 in New York City. The firm received the Impact Case of the Year award for EcoFactor v. Google (Fed. Circ. 2025). Partner Ginger Anders was also shortlisted for Practitioner of the Year in the Appellate category.
In EcoFactor, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit addressed key issues relating to patent damages and expert testimony, providing important guidance on the evidentiary standards governing reasonable royalty analyses. The decision has significant implications for how parties present and challenge damages theories in high-stakes patent litigation.
