Munger, Tolles & Olson’s Rohit Singla and Max Rosen Recognized as 2024 Pro Bono Awardees at LCCRSF’s 37th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Awards

Munger, Tolles & Olson is proud to share that Rohit Singla and J. Max Rosen were recently honored as 2024 Pro Bono Awardees at the 37th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Awards hosted by the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area (LCCRSF) in San Francisco.

The pair were recognized as recipients of the Keta Taylor Colby Award for their work on an appeal which secured a historic victory successfully ending warrantless parking ticket tows in San Francisco and across California. Such tows disproportionately harm low-income and unhoused people and provide no actual benefit to cities. Presented to attorneys who provide outstanding representation to the poor and under-represented, the award recognizes Rohit and Max’s particular work in helping to protect those harmed by warrantless parking ticket tows, as well as MTO’s collective and longstanding service to LCCRSF.

Max and Rohit pursued this appeal on behalf of the Coalition on Homelessness, along with the firm’s pro bono co-counsel, LCCRSF and Bay Area Legal Aid.
