Martin Estrada Named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2026 LA500 List  

Munger, Tolles & Olson Co-Managing Partner Martin Estrada has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2026 LA500 list. The list recognizes the most influential and impactful leaders in Los Angeles.  

The publication highlighted Martin’s career as a trial attorney representing major corporations, institutions and prominent individuals in their most significant and sensitive matters. Martin has tried more than 30 federal and state cases and arbitrations and has argued more than a dozen appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals.  

Prior to rejoining MTO in 2025, Martin served as United States Attorney for the Central District of California. In that role, he led initiatives targeting civil rights violations, fentanyl deaths, and violent robberies, and he oversaw many high-profile and impactful cases during his tenure, including cases prosecuting those responsible for the death of actor Matthew Perry, the translator for Shohei Ohtani who stole more than $16 million from the baseball superstar, celebrity lawyer Tom Girardi and the Pico-Robertson shooter who attempted to murder two Orthodox Jewish men.
