Munger, Tolles & Olson Firm Chair Brad Brian Named a 2024 Top 100 Lawyer in Los Angeles
For the third year in a row, Munger, Tolles & Olson Firm Chair Brad Brian has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers list. The annual award recognizes the top legal practitioners in Los Angeles.
A distinguished and respected lawyer who has achieved remarkable results for his clients, Mr. Brian has over 40 years of experience in representing clients in complex civil and criminal litigation, as well as in internal and government investigations. He has handled cases involving antitrust, securities, environmental, contract, fraud and constitutional law issues.
Mr. Brian’s noteworthy experience includes matters that have captured both national and global interest, including as lead trial counsel for Hawaiian Electric in hundreds of lawsuits brought in Hawaii arising from the devastating August 8, 2023, Maui wildfires that largely destroyed the town of Lahaina and killed 101 people. Mr. Brian appeared with Hawaiian Electric’s CEO Shelee Kimura at her Congressional testimony on September 28, 2023.
Other highlights of Mr. Brian’s work over the past year included: (a) securing the dismissal in June 2023 of all criminal charges against PG&E arising from the 2021 Zogg fire; and (b) obtaining a dismissal of all sexual harassment charges against Activision as part of a settlement with the State Civil Rights Division.
