Glenn Pomerantz Receives 2025 Maynard Toll Award for Distinguished Public Service
November 7, 2025
Munger, Tolles & Olson Partner Glenn Pomerantz was honored with the 2025 Maynard Toll Award for Distinguished Public Service by the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA). He received the award at LAFLA’s Access to Justice Gala on October 29 in Beverly Hills, CA.
LAFLA’s mission is to achieve equal justice for people living in poverty across Greater Los Angeles. Since 1929, the organization has supported the region through direct representation, systemic change and community education.
Glenn has been recognized for his decade of service as a LAFLA board member, including one term as board president. During his presidency, Glenn prioritized the expansion of LAFLA’s legal team and played a pivotal role in LAFLA’s merger with the Legal Aid Foundation of Long Beach. He also led the organization’s 75th anniversary symposium, increased pro bono engagement and supported the overall growth of LAFLA’s legal services and advocacy efforts.
Following his board service, Glenn helped lead fundraising efforts for the “Building Justice” Campaign, which aimed to realize LAFLA’s vision for communities where everyone has access to justice that protects their home, livelihood, health and equality. The campaign provided the resources to increase LAFLA’s capacity by constructing an efficient and client-friendly headquarters, now known as the Ron Olson Justice Center (ROJC), after MTO Name Partner Ron Olson. The building features private interview rooms with noise reduction technology, a safe play area for children and barrier-free access for clients and staff with disabilities, among other amenities. These resources have enhanced LAFLA’s capacity to provide high-quality legal services to low-income individuals.
