Sarah Mikva Pfander (she/her/hers) is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Pfander served as a law clerk to the Honorable Josephine L. Staton of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, as well as the Honorable Diane P. Wood of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She was also a summer associate at the firm.
Ms. Pfander received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif, named a Michael T. Masin scholar, and received Moot Court Honors. She also served as a senior editor of the UCLA Law Review and published a comment about the use of municipal liability as a tool for addressing racially discriminatory uses of force by police.
Ms. Pfander graduated with distinction from the University of Otago, in New Zealand, with a M.A. in politics. Her master’s thesis was about restorative justice and an edited version was published in Kōtuitui: New Zealand Journal of Social Sciences. She graduated summa cum laude from Middlebury College with a B.A. in politics.
