

Overview
Sarah Mikva Pfander is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.
Prior to joining the firm, Sarah served as a law clerk to the Honorable Josephine L. Staton of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, as well as the Honorable Diane P. Wood of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She was also a summer associate at MTO.
At the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, Sarah served as a senior editor of the UCLA Law Review and published a comment about the use of municipal liability as a tool for addressing racially discriminatory uses of force by police.

Served on the MTO legal team that defeated a nationally watched preliminary injunction motion seeking to bar San Jose State University’s women’s volleyball team from competing in their conference championship tournament. The denial of the injunction protected the established rules allowing transgender student-athletes to participate in college athletics.
