Munger, Tolles & Olson has been named the midsize-firm recipient of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s (NAPABA) 2026 Law Firm Community Champion Award. The award honors firms that exemplify excellence in the legal profession and invest in the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) legal community through leadership development, inclusive career pathways and mentorship.

The selection reflects MTO’s longstanding commitment to public service, access to justice and the rule of law. Through its legal work, MTO has helped protect vulnerable communities, including in high-impact matters involving immigration enforcement practices in Southern California. MTO also advances AANHPI attorneys through professional development, mentorship, sponsorship and engagement with bar organizations.

Partners Hailyn Chen, Miriam Kim and Achyut Phadke, together with MTO’s AAPI Attorney Affinity Group, led the firm’s nomination.

NAPABA will present the award to MTO during its 2026 Convention on Saturday, November 14 in Los Angeles.
