MTO Honored at 2026 LAist Gala

At the recent Southern California Public Radio (LAist) Gala on April 11 in Los Angeles, Munger, Tolles & Olson was honored for its decades-long defense of the rule of law and its support of LAist’s mission to deliver independent, community-focused journalism.
MTO has been closely connected to LAist since its founding 25 years ago. Name Partner Ron Olson served as Southern California Public Radio’s founding board chair and continues to serve as a life trustee. The Jane and Ron Olson Center for Investigative Reporting at LAist reflects this enduring commitment by supporting critical investigative journalism on issues affecting communities across Southern California. Partner Hailyn Chen also serves on LAist’s board of trustees, a role previously held by Firm Chair Brad Brian and former Partner Robert Adler.
The LAist Gala is an annual celebration of independent journalism and civic engagement that raises essential support for LAist’s work.
