Munger, Tolles & Olson is honored to receive the 2025 Goddess of Democracy Award from the National Endowment for Democracy (the “Endowment”). The award honors individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the Endowment’s mission of supporting democracy and freedom worldwide.
MTO was recognized for its representation of the Endowment in a lawsuit against the federal government. The firm sued to enjoin the federal government from unlawfully withholding the Endowment’s funding. In August 2025, MTO secured a preliminary injunction on behalf of the Endowment.
