Munger, Tolles & Olson Partners Daniel Levin, Bethany Kristovich and Laura Smolowe to Speak at Complex Claims & Litigation Forum
On February 27, Daniel Levin, Bethany Kristovich and Laura Smolowe will speak at the 2023 Complex Claims & Litigation Forum in Las Vegas hosted by PropertyCasualty360. A mixture of thought leadership and case-study presentations, the conference aims to help insurers prevent, prepare and prevail in adjudicating complex claims, negotiating settlements and litigating claims in court.
Mr. Levin and Ms. Smolowe will speak on negotiating settlements in a presentation titled, “The Art of Negotiation: Settlements, Arbitration and Mediation.” The presentation will be focused on major mass tort settlements and how to both creatively approach class and non-class settlements and effectively use mediation to settle complex claims.
Ms. Kristovich will speak about complex and multi-forum litigation in a presentation titled, “Litigation Showdown: What Are the Best Tips & Tricks To Get Through Litigation.” She will touch on the best practices for managing complex litigation, including litigation involving multiple lawsuits in federal courts; multiple lawsuits in both state and federal courts; and a combination of individual and class actions.
