MTO associate Ruby Garrett Named to The National Black Lawyers’ 2023 Top 40 Under 40 List

Munger, Tolles & Olson associate Ruby Garrett was named one of The National Black Lawyers’ 2023 Top 40 Under 40 Black Lawyers in Washington, D.C.

The award recognizes the top 40 under 40 African American lawyers in each state or region with reputations for providing excellent legal representation in their respective practice areas.

Ms. Garrett specializes in complex matters involving civil disputes, internal investigations and white-collar defense. She has argued and won favorable results in trial courts and guided clients in investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Trade Commission. Her recent matters include representing Kenneth Walker III, boyfriend of the late Breonna Taylor, in a $2 million settlement with the City of Louisville stemming from the unlawful police raid that led to Ms. Taylor’s death in 2020.
