Munger, Tolles & Olson advised Berkshire Hathaway in a 115 billion Yen notes offering, equal to approximately $840 million.
The offering, which closed in December, is the second yen-denominated notes offering MTO has led in 2022 on behalf of Berkshire Hathaway. Berkshire Hathaway has issued global yen bonds every year since 2019, when it priced one of the biggest yen offerings ever by an overseas firm.
MTO has represented Berkshire Hathaway in four public offerings in 2022 for a total amount issued of approximately $7.8 billion, as well as in the acquisition of Alleghany Corp. for $11.6 billion in March.
