Munger, Tolles & Olson Recognized by Legal500 for Appellate Practice

Munger, Tolles & Olson ranked in Band 3 of Legal500’s Appellate: Supreme Courts (States and Federal) practice area for the 2020 rankings.

The publication, which analyzes the capabilities of law firms across the world, noted that Munger, Tolles & Olson has solidified its market-leading position in U.S. Supreme Court litigation thanks in no small part to partner and former U.S. Solicitor General Don Verrilli as well as partners Elaine Goldenberg and Benjamin Horwich, each of whom served for five years as an Assistant to the Solicitor General in the U.S. Department of Justice.

Beyond the group ranking, Donald Verrilli was named a Leading Lawyer, with Legal500 noting that he recently presented arguments on behalf of the petitioners in Intel Corp. Investment Policy Committee v. Sulyma, a U.S. Supreme Court case involving interpretation of the ERISA statute.
