LA Represents Launched to Support Angelenos Affected by COVID-19

Munger, Tolles & Olson has joined forces with other law firms, bar associations and legal aid organizations to launch LA Represents—a pro bono initiative to provide free legal services to Los Angeles residents facing hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mayor Eric Garcetti and City Attorney Mike Feuer announced the initiative on May 5, 2020 along with guidance for how residents can take advantage of the initiative.

The firms and organizations involved have agreed to supplement existing pro bono commitments to provide COVID-19-related legal services for the Angelenos who need support most right now, including vulnerable tenants, low-income residents, the unemployed, victims of domestic violence and small businesses facing bankruptcy.

“Contributing to our community through pro bono work has always been a core tenet of our culture at the firm,” name partner Ron Olson says. “In 2019 alone, we devoted over 38,000 attorney hours as well as additional firm resources to pro bono services, and we are proud to enhance our support to the Los Angeles community, particularly in these challenging times.”
