Hailyn Chen Named Managing Partner of the Year by Corporate Counsel

Munger, Tolles & Olson Co-Managing Partner Hailyn Chen was named Managing Partner of the Year by Corporate Counsel for their esteemed award series “Women, Influence & Power in Law” on Oct. 28, 2020.

This award honors women who helped increase the economic power of attorneys of color or women in their law firm. Ms. Chen’s long-standing work with the firm’s Women’s Initiative and her championing of the Mansfield Rule exemplify her commitment to advancing women and women of color at the firm. Under Ms. Chen’s leadership, the firm also ranked No. 1 for the seventh time on the American Lawyer’s 2020 A-List which highlights the “best of the best” law firms for their commitment to a variety of financial and cultural markers including racial diversity and gender diversity among the partnership.

Ms. Chen also strives to increase diverse leadership at the firm through maintaining a robust fulltime practice that provides professional development opportunities, including courtroom arguments, depositions, witness examinations, and direct client contact, for women and attorneys of color.

For her leadership and dedication to improving the diversity, inclusion and equity at the firm and in the legal profession, Ms. Chen was named Managing Partner of the Year by Corporate Counsel.
