Munger, Tolles & Olson Earns Top Award in LA Food from the Bar Campaign

Munger, Tolles & Olson was recognized for outstanding fundraising in the 2019 Los Angeles Food From the Bar Campaign. The firm received the Kick-off, Finish Line and Overall awards at a reception held on June 26, 2019.

Food From the Bar is a month-long friendly competition among law firms and legal offices to raise funds, donate food and volunteer for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. 

“On a personal level, I am grateful for the opportunity that Food From the Bar provides for us – the L.A. legal community – to help fill the most basic of needs: healthy food,” said Kathleen M. McDowell, Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney and a longtime champion of the campaign as well as the recipient of this year's Chair of the Campaign Award. “I am thrilled that the 2019 Food From the Bar campaign raised a record amount of money this year that will help alleviate hunger in our community. No child should have to go hungry. Period.”

Food From the Bar raised a record-breaking $507,000 in 2019, bringing the campaign’s 11-year total to more than $4.5 million. This year’s fundraising total provides more than two million meals to children in the community that are lacking access to sufficient food.

Ms. McDowell and her Munger, Tolles & Olson colleagues accepted the trophy on behalf of the firm.
