Munger, Tolles & Olson litigator Mark R. Yohalem joined the board of directors of the Friends of the Los Angeles Law Library in March 2019.
Friends of the LA Law Library is a nonprofit dedicated to raising funds to support the second-largest public law library in the United States. Founded in 1891, the LA Law Library serves judges, attorneys and government officials, as well as individuals and self-represented litigants. Funding for the library has declined in recent years, and Friends of the LA Law Library works to raise the visibility of library and provide a needed, additional base of financial support.
Mr. Yohalem continues a long tradition of Munger, Tolles & Olson attorneys serving on the Friends of the LA Law Library board. His service on the board is part of his commitment to providing legal resources to underrepresented and disadvantaged communities. He has worked pro bono on criminal justice issues, as well as New Mexico public education and immigrants’ rights.
