Munger, Tolles & Olson litigator E. Martin Estrada was featured by the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) for his pro bono representation of a 17-year-old girl who had been abused by an ex-boyfriend and was seeking a restraining order against him.
After suffering repeated harassment from her ex-boyfriend, the teen turned to LAFLA’s Domestic Violence Clinic for help in obtaining a restraining order. The clinic prepared the teen’s restraining order application and Mr. Estrada represented her in court hearings.
Mr. Estrada’s representation led to the ex-boyfriend settling and agreeing to a yearlong restraining order, sparing the teen from having to relive her traumatic experiences by testifying in court.
Mr. Estrada focuses on trials, arbitrations, complex litigation and internal investigations. A longtime advocate of pro bono service, he serves on LAFLA’s board of directors.
