Munger, Tolles & Olson litigators Kelly M. Klaus, Tamerlin J. Godley and Rose Leda Ehler were recognized in Variety’s 2018 Legal Impact Report published on April 20, 2018. The annual report highlights the top attorneys in the entertainment business.
Mr. Klaus was recognized for his success in winning an injunction for Disney, Lucasfilm, Twentieth Century Fox and Warner Bros. that shut down the VidAngel streaming media service, as well as his representation of Disney in a copyright infringement lawsuit against Redbox for selling digital movie codes and the MPAA, Amazon and Netflix in an ongoing piracy lawsuit against Tickbox TV.
Ms. Godley was selected based on her successful representation of Warner Bros. in an internal investigation related to alleged reports of misconduct on the set of “Bachelor in Paradise,” her defense of Time Warner and its subsidiaries in an idea theft lawsuit and her investigations related to the #metoo and #timesup movements.
Ms. Ehler was highlighted in the report’s “Up Next” section, which recognizes rising star attorneys in entertainment law. She was chosen based on her contributions to the studios’ winning litigation against VidAngel.
