Munger, Tolles & Olson attorney Jeremy A. Lawrence received a Special Recognition Award from the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (ASPAC) on June 14, 2018.
Presented by the APSAC board of directors, the award recognizes outstanding contributions and services provided to the association. Mr. Lawrence was honored for his work as counsel to APSAC as amicus curiae in a U.S. Supreme Court case that found that a child’s statement to a teacher may be used to prosecute an abuser, as well as a recent case before the New Jersey Supreme Court related to the admissibility of testimony regarding sexual abuse accommodation syndrome.
Mr. Lawrence is a litigator whose representations have included disputes regarding coverage under insurance policies and indemnity contracts, securities and shareholder derivative suits, and matters involving administrative agencies at both the federal and state level. He has an active pro bono practice.
