Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP announced on Aug. 28, 2018 that Kelly L.C. Kriebs has joined its corporate group as a partner. Based in the firm’s Los Angeles office, Ms. Kriebs will maintain a broad corporate practice, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and finance and restructuring transactions.
Ms. Kriebs joins the firm after nearly two decades at Sidley Austin LLP, where she advised private equity funds, companies and entrepreneurs in a variety of transactions. She counsels buyers and sellers in merger, acquisition and divestiture deals, as well as in recapitalizations and joint ventures. Her practice also includes representation of secured creditors in bankruptcy and out-of-court restructurings.

Ms. Kriebs joins the firm’s renowned corporate practice, which represents Berkshire Hathaway, Oaktree Capital Management, Edison International, KB Home, Fortress Investment Group, BDT Capital Partners and The Yucaipa Companies, among others, in a variety of significant transactions.

Ms. Kriebs serves as a board member and chair of the Business Law Section of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. She earned her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where she graduated with honors and served on the UCLA Law Review. She obtained a B.A., magna cum laude, from University of California, Riverside.
