Munger, Tolles & Olson attorneys Michael E. Soloff and Hannah Dubina received the 2016 Pro Bono Award from Public Counsel’s Homelessness Prevention Law Project. Mr. Soloff and Ms. Dubina accepted the award at a ceremony held March 6, 2017 at the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Recognized for their successful representation of an elderly disabled woman who was harassed by her landlord in an attempt to drive her from her apartment, the attorneys helped the woman win a settlement after deciding she no longer wished to live in the property managed by the landlord.
Mr. Soloff, a complex commercial litigator, has a long history of working with Public Counsel’s Homelessness Prevention Law Project and working to protect Section 8 housing voucher recipients. A significant portion of Mr. Soloff’s practice has involved prosecuting and defending financial fraud or negligence claims on behalf of institutional investors, lenders, attorneys and governmental actors.
Ms. Dubina is a complex commercial litigator whose practice focuses on intellectual property and who has previously volunteered with the California Innocence Project and the El Centro Prisoner Re-Entry Clinic.
